Preliminary investigations that explored the complex relationship of ink and paper via screen printing. Studies focused on traditional printing techniques as well as deviations from these methods to produce unexpected results. I also focused on the emotion these ink and paper relationships generated for the viewer. These exercises highlighted how printing techniques could enhance existing metaphors in the text and how impactful the simple beauty of two unpredictable organic materials interacting through a structured system of printing could be.
