LETTERFORMS ACROSS SURFACE
Thesis study
Expanding on logic from earlier studies, I imposed the “A” on a stage room. The “A” spanned across the lines and planes that created the fictional room and each piece was suspended in space. This treatment highlighted the fakeness of the setup even more. The shift of the camera angle easily broke apart the structure. I experimented with how far it could be broken before the “A” was no longer legible. New forms were created from this break that evoked the feeling of disorder and fragmentation. The “A” became its own fractured character of sorts.
