BODIES OF TEXT ACROSS SURFACES
Thesis study
Adding larger bodies of text connected the study back to the structure of the book. Text was laid out across a piece of paper. The text landed not according to real planes in space—but in relation to flat pieces of paper that were cut to look like planes. This study focused my mind on legibility issues that were a challenge in this setup. I thought about reading conventions and how I could still be respectful of the reader’s comfort.
