SEEDLING TYPEFACE
Vector display typeface
Custom-designed display typeface created from an exploration of disparate found elements. Study began by documenting local signage. Interesting formal characteristics were extracted from the letter forms of each set of signage, hand drawn, refined and combined. Final vector typeface focused on conveying the essence of 3 chosen words: grow, flow, whirl. Designed to be used in combination with a more refined and elegant typeface (such as Bodoni). Screenprinted poster to display characters of typeface. Logo designed to show how Seedling could be used.
